The study examines how teacher education programs at Kuwait University’s College of Education align with the international CAEP accreditation standards. It uses a mixed-methods approach combining surveys and interviews with faculty members. The findings show moderate alignment with standards related to content and pedagogical knowledge, clinical partnerships, and practice. Lower alignment was found in candidate quality, program impact, and continuous quality improvement. The study highlights challenges involving recruitment, curriculum alignment, school–university partnerships, leadership, resources, and organizational culture. It recommends strengthening quality assurance systems, leadership coordination, and evidence-based decision-making to achieve sustainable international accreditation within the Kuwaiti context.
